Life is hard. It just is. At some point, you may have felt like you've lost sight of who you are and what you want. Whether that's due to mental illness, trauma, low self-worth, relationship challenges, or unexpected life changes, sometimes you just need someone to help guide you, and be present with you, through the struggle. I specialize in working with trauma, shame, perfectionism, ADHD, faith transitions, and LGBTQ+ issues. I believe that each individual has within them the ability to heal, grow, thrive, and become their true selves.
Just as no two people are alike, there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. While I always use a person centered approach, I also pull from a variety of different theories and modalities to best fit my client's needs. I am trained in sand/play/expressive arts therapies, trauma therapies such as EMDR and Brainspotting, IFS and parts work, trauma sensitive yoga, Mindfulness, and traditional talk therapies such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is crucial in the healing process, and I strive to connect with each client and help them feel accepted in a non-judgmental and safe environment. You don’t have to continue to feel that there is no hope, and you don’t have to go through this struggle alone.
I am the mother of four amazing kids and have been married to my best friend for over twenty years. In my free time, I love to learn, travel, hike, practice yoga, create art, play with my two German Shepherds (who I am obsessed with), and spend time with family and friends.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working in the social service and mental health fields, including the juvenile court system, work with refugees, and adolescents in foster care and residential treatment. I come from a multi-cultural family with immigrant roots which has enriched my life with knowledge and experience, but also created challenges and struggles. These experiences have contributed to my choice of being a therapist and my ability to empathize in so many situations. My hope for my clients is to find hope, strength and happiness through their pain and struggles.
Have you ever felt ashamed to speak about your family? Ever felt like others don’t understand what your life is like, even if they say they do? That is something I felt most my life and for that I have a soft spot for working with families of addicts, people in recovery, survivors of domestic violence (or any abuse) and minority populations. I believe shame serves no healthy purpose and keeps people from progressing, which is why I am so avid in countering it.
I use a trauma-informed, person-centered approach and my style is eclectic, utilizing a lot of experiential methods (i.e., art, sand tray, cinema, dance), in addition to traditional talk therapy such as CBT, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Attachment-based approaches. I am also trained in the latest trauma modalities, such as EMDR and TF-CBT. I love to laugh and integrate humor in my work. My approach is tailored to the individual, including their needs, personality, and interests. I believe most people are their own heroes, but need some encouragement, additional knowledge and skills, and a support to walk with them through the dark.
I am the mom of three teenage boys. In addition to working as a therapist and advocate, I have been a group fitness instructor for 10 years. I love volunteer work and in 2010 I founded a volunteer outreach program for adolescent girls called Motiv8. I also teach educational workshops to refugee communities.
One of my personal mottos is “I am still learning” and I use the same perspective with clients as we work to address your needs in therapy together. One of my personal mottos is “I am still learning” and I use the same perspective with clients as we work to address your needs in therapy together. Through the therapeutic process, I hope to empower you with greater understanding and compassion for yourself and for what you are learning from your experiences and choices. I am an advocate for educating the general public about mental health. I believe in the power of an individual to make personal and global change. I love helping individuals gain greater insight into thought, feeling and behavior patterns that you feel are no longer serving your best interests.
Trained in EMDR, I am passionate about trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches in therapy to assist individuals in expanding their emotional intelligence and resilience, and, improving their relationships. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy, IFS-informed parts work, Narrative therapy and EFT in sessions with a client-centered approach.
We all need support at times navigating the steep learning curve of life and I love supporting others through that process. I look forward to working with you as you navigate the change you desire!
I’ve always been inspired by the Greek admonition, “Know Thyself.” On the surface it seems simple, but as one philosopher concluded, truly knowing ourselves seems to be the easiest thing of all, yet it is the hardest. I’ve always been inspired by the Greek admonition, “Know Thyself.” On the surface it seems simple, but as one philosopher concluded, truly knowing ourselves seems to be the easiest thing of all, yet it is the hardest. Self-reflection and self-awareness are fundamental to healing and key to leading an intentional, fulfilling life. As a therapist, my role is to help individuals navigate this process and make the adjustments to resolve mental, emotional, and behavioral concerns. I’m passionate about educating and helping my client’s develop strategies and skills to navigate their challenges with confidence.
I have always viewed my relationship with clients as an alliance. I believe each individual is the expert of their own experience and I see them as the most valuable resource I have. In addition to that, I embrace being authentic and honest when working with my clients. If I’m authentic, the individuals I serve will be authentic, and we can move towards self-acceptance. I hope to help all my clients discover and fully embrace every facet of who they are–faults and all.
I have served adolescent and adult populations providing individual, family, and group therapy services. I’m experienced in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders, ADHD, trauma, family conflict, Grief/Loss, and other conditions. I also draw from a broad base of treatment methods to tailor my approach for each client. I’m trained in CBT, DBT, sand/play therapies, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. In addition to my clinical practice, I have served as an adjunct instructor at UVU, provided supervision for student interns and MSW graduates, and I’ve recently taken to public speaking to educate on mental health issues.
My greatest inspiration has always been my dad. He overcame considerable hardship in his life and was always helping those who needed it most. I learned from his example and it was instrumental in my decision to become a therapist. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, hiking, playing basketball, and weightlifting. Most of all, I love music and spending time with my family and friends.

Life can be tough sometimes, and it's okay to ask for help. Whether you're struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or going through a transition in your life or faith, I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey. As a therapist, I specialize in supporting individuals just like you.
I believe in the importance of creating an inclusive and affirming environment, where you can be your true self without fear of judgment. You deserve to be seen, heard, and understood, no matter who you are or whom you love.
In our sessions, I utilize various therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to your unique needs. Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) forms the foundation of my practice, allowing us to build a genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship. It's essential for me to meet you where you are, respecting your autonomy and honoring your lived experiences.
I also incorporate evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help you gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We'll explore new perspectives, develop coping strategies, and set achievable goals that align with your values and aspirations.
Art and play interventions play a significant role in my practice as well. These creative approaches provide alternative avenues for expression, helping you access emotions and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. Together, we can tap into your innate creativity, allowing it to guide us towards healing and growth.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and your unique voice is an essential part of our work together. You are the expert on your own life, and I am here to support you, offer guidance, and provide a non-judgmental space for exploration and growth.
Outside of work you can find me playing video games, spending time with my animals, or crafting.

Hope is a powerful emotion and can change the focus of our lives. When we begin to feel hopeless and helpless, looking for tools to support us can be essential. Therapy is a wonderful tool to bring more hope! I believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, needs to be heard and to have a sense of belonging. I have worked throughout my health care career to help families become stronger and to help women feel empowered. For 27 years, I worked extensively in the nursing world as a NICU and Labor & Delivery registered nurse, as well as a hospital administrator. I made the decision to obtain my master’s degree and become a Marriage and Family Therapist as a second career. Focusing now on mental health has given me a new perspective, while incorporating my experience has supported my work with individuals and families. I am passionate about empowering individuals and building healthy couples. I have worked with adolescents and young adults managing the life choices and transitions of
this important time of life. I am passionate about providing space and grace for this age group, as they navigate through questions of choice, identity, and values. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and strongly believe that each individual is on their own spiritual journey. My job is to walk that path with you, not direct that path. It is important to me to hold space for each individual and where they are in their own process and growth. About half my practice is working with premarital and married couples to build skills and resilience. Teaching and building strong communication skills is a passion for me. I am certified in DBT-dialectical behavioral therapy, TF-CBT and Trauma CPT. I am a certified Gottman Marriage counselor and a facilitator for Prepare/Enrich marriage enhancement. I use an eclectic mix of structural,
solution focused, IFS-parts informed, narrative and experiential therapy models—all that really means is that I want to meet my clients where they are and find ways to support and validate them in the most effective ways. I have a Bachelor of Science-Nursing from Brigham Young University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from North Central University. I have lived in many states and recently moved to Utah from Missouri. Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my adorable husband and family. My grandbabies are the lights of my life! I have the sweetest dog, Lady, who brings me joy every day. Reading, baking, and pilates are part of my personal toolbox of anxiety management skills. Assisting you in building a toolbox
of skills to help you navigate life well and feel resilient would be my privilege. I strongly believe in the value of therapy and would be honored to be a part of your journey. I look forward to working with you!

Often we find ourselves waiting out the storm, waiting for life to get easier, but then we realize there is always going to be some challenge to face. I believe we each have within us the ability to overcome challenges by drawing on our inherent strengths and support systems. I meet clients where they are, in whatever struggles they are facing. With a forward thinking mindset and client centered approach. I will work with you to understand your values and goals; to help you learn the tools and skills needed to feel empowered and thrive in your life's journey. I use evidence-based practice and facilitate a judgement free environment to give the client a safe, relaxing place to help unravel life’s struggles. I am experienced in working with individuals struggling with grief & loss, chronic & terminal illness, parent child relationships, substance addiction, ADHD, LGBTQ+ issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and caregiver burnout. I use a variety of techniques to tailor treatment most beneficial to the client, such as EMDR, mindfulness, CBT, play-based, person-centered, motivational interviewing, positive parenting, and trauma informed. I obtained a Bachelors in Social Work from Utah Valley University and completed a Master of Social Work from Campbellsville University. I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults and elderly in a variety of settings where I have gained knowledge, experience and compassion for the unique daily struggles we face. I have been married for 14 years and we love spending time going on adventures with our 4 energetic children. I enjoy crafting, learning new things, exercising, and playing games with my family.

There is place for everyone in counseling. Whether you are navigating a life change, dealing with an overwhelming challenge, or just need a safe space to process your thoughts, there is a place for you. I believe there is power in awareness and acceptance. In counseling, we co-create a space to harness that power through exploration and insight. Who you are does not need to be defined by struggle or labels.
Working through challenges can add to the depth and strength in each of us. In counseling, we find the tools that can help you tap into that strength. I have a Bachelors in Psychology, and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am client-centered, and I have training in EMDR, DBT, and MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). I regularly incorporate aspects of mindfulness in the counseling setting and in my own life. I also use CBT and ACT techniques in my work. I believe I can best serve my clients with a comprehensive, holistic, mind-body approach to counseling. I honor the courage that it takes to seek help, and I am passionate about bringing the best help I can to those I have the privilege of working with in counseling.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our combined crew of ten kids. I love reading, devouring podcasts and BBC crime dramas, and listening to an eclectic mix of good music.

Life is never a linear line to where we want to be. Learning to ride the waves of life and navigating the storms that surround us can be hard. I believe that every person holds their own knowledge, strengths, and healing power within themselves. I believe that when we are true to our authentic selves we are better able to ride the waves of life. Therapy is an opportunity for exploring and using those individual strengths for healing. I hope to be able to co-create a safe place for insight and personal growth. I honor the courage it takes to endeavor in the therapeutic process. I like to use experiential modalities for therapy, including art, play, sand, and music. I also incorporate DBT and CBT into my practices and I am EMDR trained. I work with all ages. I received a bachelor's in family studies from Utah Valley University in 2015 and a Masters of Social Work in 2023. Since that time I have worked with many populations including young children, teens, young adults, and LGBTQIA+ members. I have spent many years working in wilderness and residential therapy programs. I am currently attending Utah Valley University working towards a master's of social work degree. I have lived in and out of Utah and Hawaii for my adult life. The beach is my happy place. I enjoy taking nature walks with my dog. I also love listening to audiobooks.

Everyone experiences ups and downs in their life, but sometimes these ups and downs get a little less "rolling hills" and a little more "roller coaster." If life feels like it's careening off the rails, you don't have to face it without help. If you were building a house, would you do it alone, or would you get some tips from a professional? I believe that every person can benefit at some point in their life from counseling from a licensed therapist; they teach us the good stuff, and I want to share it with you! I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where anyone can open up about the challenges in their life. Although I may have expertise in many common modalities including CBT, DBT, sand tray therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. You are the one who is an expert in your own life. My goal is to work with you to help you find and achieve your goals so that you can create a better life for yourself, whatever that life looks like. I've worked in community practice across many organizations with many different focuses including children from 12-16, college students, LGBTQ+ children and adults, navigating faith transitions, and more. I believe that all people have room to grow and that therapy can be a huge part of that. I moved to Utah Valley from North Idaho in 2016 and I've loved it ever since! I received my Bachelor's degree from UVU in Psychology in 2019 and received my Masters of Social Work degree at UVU as well. In my free time, I like to get involved with LGBTQ+ community organizations and spend time with my partner of 6 years hiking, playing video games, or just chilling on the couch. I'm an avid podcast listener and end up learning a lot while I zone out on the elliptical! When I have time, I love to try out new recipes. I love spicy foods though I try to down it down for the friends I share my food with. If I ever am having a bad day, you'll find me out in nature soaking in the rays or petting dogs at the puppy store.

I have learned that just because we are born human does not mean we know how to be a perfect one—even if sometimes it feels like we should. Luckily we come with an incredible capacity to learn and improve. I know that coming to therapy can be scary, especially for the first time. Change can be scary. But the truth is that we could all use extra help and support sometimes. As a clinician, I work hard to build a safe and comfortable space for people to show up as they are—to give them room to be whoever they need to be. I believe that through this type of environment, people are better able to grow and heal. I have experience working with children and youth, including those experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, suicidality, self-harm, family conflict, trauma, loss, LGBTQ+, and more. I use both art and play therapy, centered around each specific child or youth, combined with aspects of CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and I am trained in EMDR. I also work with adults facing similar issues as well as faith/life transitions, mood disorders, or who just need someone to talk to. I have lived in Utah for the majority of my life and have an intimate understanding of the community. I have four children who I love and who also drive me a little crazy. I love being outside—especially in my garden. I am very competitive and love sports, even the ones I am not good at. I chose this profession because I have personal experience with and have witnessed the power of change and in doing the hard work.

You are the author of your book of life, and I want to support you in writing your story. Just like an editor provides small corrections and feedback to an author, I strive to provide you with new life lenses by helping you explore your abilities and strengths. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, working through trauma, engaging in a tough life transition, or just not feeling like yourself, I am here to support you. We will work towards helping you live a life where your logic and emotions work in harmony. I believe that every individual is inherently good, and we all strive to better understand ourselves in a lifelong search for “what is my purpose.” I strive to help you strengthen the abilities within yourself to achieve growth and resolution. I believe that in today’s world, we often allow things to happen to us without realizing our potential to take control and learn from our experiences and our emotions. I want to help you take back control. My approach is eclectic, with a basis in person-centered therapy where we can achieve great work with a relationship built on genuineness, non-judgment, acceptance, and empathy. My eclectic style comes in with my use of techniques during our therapeutic relationship. I do not believe that there is a one size fits all approach as you are an individual, and your needs may vary greatly from someone else. My approach in our therapeutic relationship is guided by our time together and your needs. I believe in tailoring precisely to your individualistic style. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) practices to help you challenge dysfunctional thoughts and beliefs and create ones more aligned with your goals. I may also utilize some Directive Therapy to supportively point out inconsistencies in your emotional and logical functioning and provide guidance and encouragement toward our agreed-upon goals. Your growth is our number one goal, and in approaching the journey together, we can take on anything.

healing. My passion is people and my greatest focus in the therapeutic space is to create a climate of safety where you can feel safe and seen to be able to bring whatever you have forth and not carry the weight alone. Everyone deserves to have a space to navigate through life’s challenges with support. I use a Trauma-Informed, Emotion and Attachment-Focused approach and believe that the therapeutic relationship is paramount to the healing process. My focus as a clinician tends to be more on using Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. I am EMDR trained as well, and find this to be useful with clients seeking to process traumatic and distressing experiences. I enjoy working with all ages from children and adolescents to adults. I have spent over a decade working with adolescents and children, with a passion for teaching them mindfulness, advocacy, and life skills. I have an interest in helping empower others around topics like healthy body image, intuitive eating, and embodiment. I believe that we are all innately wired for connection and are emotional creatures who experience life in and through our bodies, therefore it is an essential part of healing to be able to notice our experiences and emotions from a lens of embodiment and consider how we would truly desire to show up, connect, and be present in our lives. Aside from geeking out over therapy books and research in my free time, I do love my time in nature, yoga, hiking, hugging trees (no seriously!) laughing, and being with my people.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Utah Valley University. I have training in experiential therapy and trauma-informed yoga and am passionate about mind-body connection, art therapy, sandtray, play therapy, intuitive eating, body-neutrality, gender-affirming therapy and more. I am an Eating Disorder Informed Professional (EDIP) and have completed training in eating disorder treatment from the Eating Recovery Center. I believe that we are able to heal when we incorporate both the mind and body in an action-oriented, co-created therapeutic way. I love working with children, teens, young adults, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who are experiencing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, faith transitions, eating disorders, and body image issues. I believe that each individual is unique, and that therapy should be customized to meet the client where they’re at. I use ACT, DBT, IFS, CBT, and experiential methods in session with the therapeutic relationship as the heart of healing.
I was born and raised in Northern Utah. I love practicing yoga, getting outside, reading, and making art. You can often find me watching true crime and cult documentaries on Netflix. I love the color yellow, eating fruit snacks, and visiting baby goats. My husband and I hope to someday raise a family with a little backyard farm. In my personal and professional life, I believe that recovery is real, hope is ahead, and healing is possible.

How often do you get curious about the difficulties you face? Have you ever sought support, understanding, or another perspective from someone you feel safe with or trust? The beauty of the therapeutic relationship is that it is a secure space to explore this curiosity about your feelings and whatever you are facing in life. My hope for my clients is that they find supportive collaboration and understanding in the therapeutic relationship that promotes and empowers them to face the difficulties and struggles that are a part of their own life journey.
My experience working in both mental health and educational services focuses on developmental, relational, phenomenological, existential, and postmodern approaches within the therapeutic process. Alongside these approaches, I use a trauma-informed, person-centered approach with clients and pull from a variety of modalities, including EMDR, SFBT, ACT, CBT, IFS, attachment based therapies, Mindfulness and other practices. I am interested in narrative therapy, experiential therapies, art therapy, play therapy, sand-tray therapy, and more.
I completed an Advanced Research Master’s in Continental Philosophy and Phenomenology (MPhil) from KU Leuven in Leuven, Belgium and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. Further, I have worked as a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) since 2017 and am pursuing a 500 hour certification for trauma-informed yoga (CYP-500).
I was born and raised in the beautiful Flathead Valley in Northwestern Montana. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, fly fishing, swimming, skiing, and more. I am prone to enjoying obscure books and to singing when I am working with my hands.

I believe therapy is a setting to both remember and celebrate the goodness that is there and a place to increase self-awareness and take steps toward change for more goodness.
I practice from CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, MI, and play therapies. I believe in creating an individualized therapeutic environment with clients through traditional talking, artistic expression, and fun. I especially love teaching coping skills, social skills, and working towards greater mental flexibility. I have experience assessing and treating anxiety and depressive disorders, Autism, ADHD, neurodiversity, and behavioral disorders. I have been working with kids and teens in a therapeutic setting for the past five years and love working with parents to help them improve their relationship with their children.
Outside of work, I love finding beauty and enjoyment through being outside, painting, drawing, puzzling, reading, thrifting, and driving with the music up and windows down. I especially love learning about new songs and artists from others and connecting through movie quotes and laughter.

Taking the first step toward healing and asking for help can be intimidating. Change is something that we often shy away from, but is filled with beauty when you open up your mind to the possibilities it may bring you. Whether you’re dealing with life stressors, seeking closure from past trauma, or simply wanting to find a healthier path forward, I am here to support you. My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration- helping you uncover the best version of yourself. One of my favorite quotes is, “Live the full life of the mind, exhilarated by new ideas, intoxicated by the romance of the unusual”, by Ernest Hemingway. Working with me, I hope that you can find fulfillment in your life and embrace the beauty of change.
I am a CSW and obtained my Master’s of Social Work from the University of Kentucky in May of 2024. I have strong experience working with a variety of mental health disorders including borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma-related disorders. I am trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and experienced in CBT, DBT, IFS, and various other therapeutic modalities.
In my free time, I love to rock climb, travel, and enjoy the outdoors. I also volunteer as an International Coordinator on the board of Tabarak Children’s Home in Mombasa, Kenya and founded a nonprofit organization, the World of Opportunity Foundation. The goal of starting this organization is to help expand opportunities to impoverished communities across the world. This passion is brought into my practice, helping you to open up new opportunities within yourself.

The experiences in my life have gifted me with empathy, compassion, and a greater perspective - molding me into a far better version of myself than I could have ever imagined. Life is full of the unexpected, and we aren't always equipped with the tools to meet each challenge that life sometimes gives us. It takes courage to seek out help and therapy. I want to provide a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. My passion is to empower others, recognize their own strengths, and build courage to use their voice. I believe in incorporating the unique strengths of each of my clients as we work together to create greater happiness, heal from past trauma, and experience inner peace. This work has always been very special to me, and it is an honor to sit and witness people in all stages of life and states of mind. It feels sacred. It feels important. It feels like the most human thing I can experience.
I am trained and experienced in DBT (Dialectical behavioral therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), EMDR, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and self-compassion. I take a client-centered approach and draw from IFS parts and ACT.
I obtained my bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies at Utah State University in 2001. I am now on the home stretch to receiving my Master's Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. Over the years, my work as a social worker has extended from child and family dynamics associated with the juvenile and district court legal systems, aging and family services, and mental health settings to substance abuse in residential and general outpatient with the Department of Corrections.
My greatest blessings and achievements have been being a mother to four daughters I absolutely adore, along with our "majestic" English Cream Golden Retriever. I love spending any time I can get with them. I also enjoy reading, listening to audiobooks, going on "little" adventures, spending time outdoors, and relaxing at home.

Allowing ourselves to feel our emotions is the starting point for building resilience and navigating life's challenges. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel respected, empowered, validated, and understood. I enjoy working with all ages from children to adults. I work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, faith transitions, and LGBTQ+ issues. My approach is very client-centered and pulls from acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and play therapy. I like to incorporate a holistic mind-body approach as it can help a person gain a greater understanding of themselves and increase self-esteem.
I believe that people have the potential for greatness. Just as our bodies possess the innate ability to heal physically, so do we possess the capacity for emotional and mental recovery. Supporting this process involves nurturing ourselves, practicing patience, and allowing time for restoration.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Utah University and am currently pursuing a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Utah Valley University. I spend much of my time with my dog, paddle boarding, practicing yoga, gardening, and listening to audiobooks.
